Rearcross U-9's hosted Lough Derg on Saturday afternnoon in what was their first game of the season. The game started off with a strong performance from Lough Derg who had a physical advantage over a young Rearcross side and the advantage fell to the visitors after a few short minutes when they scored their first goal of the day from close range. Things didn't inprove much for Rearcross for the remainder of the first half despite a big effort from the lads as Lough Derg managed to register 2 more goals before the half time break.The second half started with Rearcross fighting to register their first score and it eventually came through an own goal through a Lough Derg defender. Rearcross continued to fight hard to add to their tally but Lough Derg were not to be outdone and added a couple of more goals to secure the result.
